Two key executives manage Bcomp
One managing director, Christian Fischer, MSc & PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the EPFL, is a former innovation project manager at Alcan where he was responsible for product development, technology scale-up and industrialization of novel solutions within the Cleantech, Automotive & Construction industries. Living abroad during his studies, Christian speaks fluently 5 languages and is responsible for Supply Chain Management & Strategic R&D.
The other managing director, cYrille Boinay, degree in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Fribourg, is the head of Business Development & Administration. He is a career entrepreneur/intrapreneur who has founded and managed several start-ups (db skis, Graphics Network, Pearlwater). In addition, he has significant experience within the consumer goods branch with the Hess group, Underberg and fenaco.
Julien Rion, technical director, responsible for New Product Development & Prototyping, also graduated from EPFL (MSc & PhD). During his PhD in the framework of the Solar Impulse project, he has developed strong skills in the design, processing and modelling of composite structures, after which he has worked as a R&D supervisor for Allergan Medical for several years.
Andreas Brülhart, responsible for Strategic Initiatives and Investor Relations, has an MBA from the University of Liechtenstein. Through his involvement in several start-ups and as a Executive Director of the Entrepreneurship Master's Program at the University of Applied Sciences in Fribourg, he has gained significant expertise in entrepreneurship.
The four managers are founding partners of Bcomp and have worked together for the last 5 years to take the business from a start-up project to a leading natural fibre composite player.
Patrick Vuagnat , brand manager of snow and water sports, has a degree in business and marketing from Annecy school. He quickly turned his passion into a profession by becoming professional Freeskier for 8 years now. A highly competitiv activity where he promotes his sponsors through medias, organizes shooting, writes for magazines and works close with the design teams on product development. His knowledge of this specific environment is unique and a true strength.
