structural design
Structural design starts with the product requirement dictated by its targeted performance and customer needs, and ends with every gram of material contributing to the product’s performance. Or as Einstein once said, “make things as simple as possible, but not simpler”. To reach this goal, we use modern design tools such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Our design teams consist of structural-, process- and materials engineers. Our team structure allows us to consider the interplay between materials properties, structural performance, processing feasibility and large-scale manufacturing from the very beginning of the design process. This avoids the development of a highly sophisticated product which cannot be scaled at a realistic cost and series.
