Skis & Snowboards
Boards made with bCores are 30% lighter and give a super smooth and shock absorbing ride. The secret lies in combining the best and most sustainable structural foam with Bcomp’s specifically tailored flax fibres to obtain a high-performance core with excellent fatigue properties and the typical “woody” feeling all skiers and snowboarders love. Check out the skis and snowboards with Bcores inside. Amplid's Green Light concept wins the ISPO Award 2012 with the bCore D120. In 2013 Stöckli wins a Gold Award and Idris Ski a ISPO Award using the ampliTex® non-crimps. Over 20 brands are using our bCores to build high performance and lightweight skis.
The 100% flax fibre composite bTubes have the same strength as carbon composite tubes at 3x their damping properties, resulting in lightweight skiing and trekking poles that provide security in extreme conditions and comfort at the same time. Find here the new generation of poles.
Bcomp is running different projects inside the bicycle industry with it's power rib technology. You can find ampliTex® fabrics in high-tech frames and seat posts. Here we substitute carbon fibres and push the performance in matters of shock absorbtion with our ampliTex light range. A nice example is the saddle sheet, developed for Ergon Bike. This project won the Eurobike award 2012. Flax mud guards and handle bars are the new generation accessories for the modern city biker.
Surf boards, wake & kite board, SUP Paddles and other eco superior products for watersports are produced with a combination of Bcomps ampliTex® and bCores. The ampliTex light range was specially developed for the surf industry.
Our braids are reinforcing and damping hockey sticks in a very efficent and economical way.
Our flax braids are used as protecting layer for fly fishing rods.
Different racket frames are made with our flax braids to increase the dampening properties of the tools.
