Bcomp is looking for an intern (ideally a master thesis student) to support its high-stake Research and Development (R&D) activities in the thermoset team. This involves exploratory and characterisation work on ampliTex™ and powerRibs™ fabrics with the aim of developing the next generation of products.
Explore effects of processing (autoclave and prepreg compression moulding) parameters on high-performance composites part quality
Explore effects of external factors such as storage conditions and material handling on high-performance composites part quality
Design and conduct experiments to validate observations and hypotheses established together with Bcomp’s R&D team
Write complete R&D documentation reporting details about the test campaign and its main results
B.Sc. or equivalent, in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering. Ideally, master thesis student
Some experience, theoretical and practical, with composite materials engineering
Some experience, theoretical and practical, with materials characterization techniques
Fluent in English is a must, German or French are a great advantage
Autonomous and equipped with a strong sense of priorities
Striving to perform clean and meticulous work
Good communication and reporting skills
