To strengthen its finance team, Bcomp is looking for a Cost and Product Controller.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Support CFO in the annual budgeting process and long-term financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and long-term financial forecasts
Monitor key financial indicators, identify trends and propose strategies for improvement
Track and report budget variances and provide recommendations for cost optimisation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and guidance for strategic initiatives and investment decisions
Support the financial (monthly, quarterly and end-closing etc) process
Present financial reports and findings to the CFO and management team translating complex financial reports into clear and actionable recommendations
Perform calculations of complex products and product options based on part lists, specifications, drawings, samples, tools, etc.
Create cost-breakdown documents for automotive RFQ processes
Support the sales department in the preparation of quotations and in price negotiations
Review and evaluate supplier offers for appropriateness and factual accuracy
Lead and/or participate in cost discussions with the customers and suppliers
Evaluation of existing products and processes using value and purchase part price analysis to identify cost drivers
Identify and develop measures and initiatives to reduce product costs along the supply chain of our products
Derive purchase prices for purchased goods and manufacturing process steps based on target prices
Create, maintain and optimise documents for the evaluation and presentation of project profitability
Support Project Leaders in the development of business cases for new projects
Qualifications and Personal Qualities
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cost Controlling, Finance or related field
2-5 years work experience in a similar role, preference in an industrial company
Distinct knowledge of various production processes, (process) cost accounting
Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques
Affinity with numbers and passion for data analytics
Advanced proficiency in MS Office and the daily use of ERP systems (SAP Business One or similar), knowledge in programming languages such as Python is a nice to have
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to work conceptually
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills in English is a must
