World’s fastest human powered vehicle with ampliTex™ and powerRibs™ inside

The goal of the ETH Project is to design and build the world´s fastest human powered vehicle by using all possible means and the state-of-the-art engineering provided by one of the European leading universities. cieo is an ambitious tandem bicycle combining high-tech aerodynamics and material together with excellent athletic preparation of the sportsmen.

The athletes are lying on seats manufactured with our ampliTex™ biaxial and UD fabrics for a most comfortable ride.

The cover of the half-monocoque body is reinforced with Bcomp’s powerRibs™ for an optimal weight and flexural stiffness ratio.

ETH Zurich is well known for its expertise and creative projects in the fields of science and engineering. The Focus Projects provide an excellent opportunity for Bachelor students to test and advance their skills in various fields.

Cieo will try to beat the world record in Lausitzring, Germany (26. – 28.07.2013)
